Dr. Stuart Baker, MBA CPsychol. DPsych.
I practice as a Psychologist, Psychotherapist, CBT Therapist, Coach and Mindfulness teacher, working with adults, individually or in groups. I am registered as a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS), as an Integrative Psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP), as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and care Professions Council and am a member of the Association for Coaching (AC).
I have several years experience working as a therapist, coach and mindfulness trainer across a wide range of clients, both in short term and longer term contexts, including NHS primary care, the voluntary sector, organisations and private practice.
I have a particular interest in mindfulness meditation, which I researched as part of my Psychology Doctorate. I incorporate mindfulness in working with individual clients and teach Mindfulness Based Stress reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) courses to therapists, coaches, the general public and organisations.
Prior to becoming a psychologist I qualified as an economist and later took an Executive MBA. I have spent 20 years working in large corporates in the advertising, publishing, banking and insurance sectors, across a wide range of senior management roles, including: relationship management, marketing, corporate strategy, organisational development and consulting. I have studied and worked abroad in France, Germany, Switzerland and Spain.
